Caring for Your Oral Health at Home

You shouldn't ignore your dental health outside of your regular dental visits. The friendly team at South Point Family Dentistry will work with you to create a preventative home care program to fit your needs and give you a beautiful smile. Home oral health care includes eating well-balanced meals, reducing snacking and correctly brushing and flossing.

Always Brush Your Teeth

Properly brush your teeth at least twice a day, especially before bedtime, using an ADA-approved soft bristle toothbrush. Electric toothbrushes are also a popular option, easy to use and effectively remove plaque.

Floss Every Day

Daily flossing is the best way to clean between your teeth and underneath your gumline. Flossing disrupts potential plaque build-up. Remember, it is also important to rinse your mouth out after brushing. Other dental aids recommended by your dentist may also be necessary to improve your home dental health care.
